About

I started this blog in 2013 when I took a leave of absence from my job to teach English in Arequipa, Peru (Sariquipa = Sari + Arequipa). I wrote mostly about my travels and teaching English as a Second Language.

Many things have happened since then. I have always wanted to bring it back, so I finally did. All it took to get me off my butt was to pay for my custom domain 🙂

  1. Hi Sari! Can I just say your blog is hilarious. You make being a ESL teacher look like the greatest job in the world! I’m planning on taking the International TEFL Academy course in Arequipa as well and would love if I could ask you some questions about it. Hope to talk to you soon!

  2. Hi Sari! I truly appreciate your blog and all the detailed info on the school you taught at. I finished my CELTA in Ecuador and am applying to teach at your school in Arequipa. Have you been back? Are you still teaching? –Scott
